Decide whether you need internet access, ordinary phone calls, or a service that verifies your identity. Those are separate requirements. A plan providing one may not provide the others.

Match the format to your trip

If two people need to travel independently, think through whether sharing one router will fit that plan. Keep the pickup address and booking reference available without an internet connection.
Read the voice and verification conditions
KT distinguishes data-only and voice-capable eSIM products. Its English page says voice and SMS require an entry check at an airport roaming centre, and that its eSIM does not support personal authentication. A Korean number therefore should not be treated as a guarantee that every Korean app's verification will work. Check KT's eSIM conditions.
If a particular reservation or delivery service matters to you, identify its exact signup requirement before buying a plan for that purpose. Ask the provider about that requirement, not merely whether the plan includes a number.
Before paying or installing
Keep a short purchase checklist: device compatibility, carrier lock, data allowance or speed policy, call support, start time, expiry time and refund terms. KT's page includes both 30-day and 90-day installation-window wording in different sections; ask KT to resolve the deadline for your purchase instead of relying on either sentence alone. Follow the instructions supplied with the actual order.
Do not delete an installed eSIM as a troubleshooting experiment. KT says its QR installation is single-use. Ask support for the appropriate next step.
If you rent a router
KT's router page describes a credit-card deposit requirement and says debit cards are not accepted for that deposit. Confirm the named renter's documents, deposit method and return arrangement before booking. Read the router conditions.
